Hotel occupancy in the Yukon reaches over 80% in the busy summer months, and drops to its lowest (~40%) in December & January.
March 2026 saw a boost in occupancy, room prices, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) because Whitehorse hosted the Arctic Winter Games. Occupancy rose 18.5%, room prices rose 21.7%, and RevPAR rose 44.4%, all compared to March 2025.
In June 2026, the average room cost $255.50 a night, a 15.7% increase over June 2025, and 50.2% more than June 2019, before the pandemic.
RevPAR, which shows how much money each room earns, also went up. It reached $205.90 in June 2026, 17.0% higher than June 2025, and 44.7% higher than June 2019.

Notes on data: Data represents approximately 600 rooms in Yukon and should not be generalized to the whole accommodation market.
